Preserving all the natural imperfections and all acoustic interactions of the sound of the organ in the church, bringing life to the instrument.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Rathgar Pipe Organ was sampled and programmed to replicate the experience of going to a church and being immersed and surrounded by the powerful and magical sound of the pipe organ.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe library offers 2 mic positions (close and far) providing unique depth and control over the sound. It was first built in 1899 by Gray \u0026amp; Davisons, big manufacturers at the time from London. The cost was \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"\u003e£615\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn 1979, a woodworm infestation was detected in the organ, requiring renovations. Renovations at the time included: \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e– General cleaning of all the pipework and treatment for woodworm;\u003cbr\u003e– Refelting of the keyboards;\u003cbr\u003e– Overhaul of the front speaking pipes;\u003cbr\u003e– Fitting new pallet magnets to the pedals to ensure almost silent action;\u003cbr\u003e– Three Stop changes\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAll this work would cost about \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e£8,000, and, at the time, the organ was valued between \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e£70,000 to \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e£80,000.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBetween 2001 and 2003 the Rathgar Pipe Organ had to undergo another round of renovations.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Rathgar Pipe Organ sample library is created with samples carefully recorded from the pipe organ from the Christ Church Rathgar, in Dublin – Ireland.
