The Extended Electric Guitar library is a continuation of the classic acoustic Extended Guitar series, bringing new techniques, new sounds and a new tone into the Edu Prado Sounds collection.
The Extended Electric Guitar elevates unconventional and creative techniques on electric guitar to another level. Seeking not only pristine tone but also satisfying playability this library provides varied techniques with multiple layers and round robins. The multiple effects and controls allow you to shape the sound to perfection for your project.
From beautifully finger-played harmonics and groovy muted notes to precise tapping, varied innovative bowed techniques and dreamy soundscapes, with an extraordinary array of effects, the Extended Electric Guitar is perfect for all kinds of productions, from pop to epic cinematic music.
The meticulously sampled bowed techniques include mesmerizing soft and airy Bowed Harmonic, mutating Sul Ponticello bowing that brings higher scratchy overtones, and an intense Tremolo bowing. All of these bowed patches are made with very long organic samples with natural motion, to avoid any sense of repetition.
Every patch is handcrafted with care, and every sound is full of character and life, making this an electric guitar library like no other.
The Graphic User Interface offers endless sonic possibilities with a selection of built-in effects including:
-
Space (Convolution Reverb) with 10 carefully selected Impulse Responses that can be selected via the dropdown menu, and Size and Mix control;
-
Cabinet emulation effect with Gain and Spin speed control;
-
Attack and Release control;
-
Smudge effect: amp emulation with amount control;
-
Scream effect: distortion with amount control;
-
Pump effect: extreme compression with level control;
-
High-Pass and Low-Pass filters;
-
Smear: extreme diffusion delay effect with feedback, time and mix control;
The Extended Electric Guitar sample library comes with 20 instrument NKIs:
01 – Finger Muted: Muted notes played with fingers for natural organic sound. 5 Velocity layers and 2 round robins, from very soft mutes up to a powerful snap.
02 – Fingered Harmonics: Beautifully finger-played natural harmonics. 4 Velocity layers, natural tail and decay.
03 – Sneaky Harmonic: Long endless harmonic samples created from the fingered harmonics, without the finger attack, creating a majestic pad sound.
04 – Pulsing Harmonics: Sneaky harmonics patch tweaked with cabinet effect, adding some distortion and spin.
05 – Bowed Harmonics: Long, silky, soft and airy electric guitar harmonics played with a cello bow. Full of motion and life. Simply that. Mod Wheel for volume and expression.
06 – Bowed Sul Pont: Bowed notes played close to the bridge (sul ponticello technique), adding constant motion and overtones. Mod Wheel for volume and expression.
07 – Bowed Tremolo: Long fast tremolo samples played with a cello bow. Mod Wheel for volume and expression.
08 – Bowed Evolutions: A perfect combination of the 3 bowed patches, the evolution and transition between the patches is controlled by the Mod Wheel, going from bowed harmonics (low mod wheel), to sul pont (medium mod wheel), to tremolo (high mod wheel). User interface includes a diagram and a Mod Wheel level bar, showing which technique is being played.
09 – Ethereal Marbles: Processed patch created from the bowed harmonic samples.
10 – Electric Crystals: Processed patch created from the bowed sul pont samples.
11 – Bowed Grains: Processed patch created from the bowed samples.
12 – Degraded Bow: Processed distorted patch created from the bowed sul pont samples.
13 – Anxious Crumbs: Processed distorted patch created from the bowed sul pont samples.
14 – Paddy OGanic: Organic pad created from the tails of the fingered harmonic samples.
15 – Le Cat: Processed monophonic patch with glissando/legato performance. Great low-end
16 – Electric Tapping: Guitar tapping with 3 velocity layers and 2 round-robins.
17 – Electric Tapn’ Slide: Guitar tapping with added slide-up and slide-down samples. Different samples are triggered according to the velocity. The user interface includes a diagram in the centre with a velocity bar, that shows the velocity played and the corresponding sample for that velocity.
18 – Muted Groove ARP: Finger Muted patch with an arpeggiator; arpeggio follows the order the notes were played; tempo synced;
19 – Random Harmonics ARP+OCT: Fingered Harmonics patch with a randomized arpeggiator, with added octaves. Amazing from random creative textures, loops and ostinatos.
20 – Guitar SFX: Selection of guitar sound effects like plucking, scratching, or striking the strings. Useful for sound design, as a percussive element, or to layer with the other patches to create a more organic and natural guitar sound.
